The celebration of Black History Month culminated in an absolutely amazing performance by HSA Belmont students and staff. The cast delved into the history of African Americans from their roots in Africa to modern day. In the hour-long performance, the audience received a sampling of African American culure including native African dancers, the 1920's Charleston, a Soul Train and even a Black Panther-like stomp crew. Historic figures like Josephine Baker and Dr. Martha Haynes also made an apperance on stage to provide an idea of what being black meant during their time in history. A big round of applause goes out to all of our performers!
